The Florida Local Government Cybersecurity Grant is a competitive grant program to provide cybersecurity technical assistance and capabilities to Florida’s local governments to improve their cybersecurity posture and resiliency.
Fiscal Year 24-25 Florida Local Grant Programs
Pending enactment of the Florida FY 2024-25 General Appropriations Act, the Local Government Cybersecurity Grant Program is a $40 Million competitive grant equipping local governments with software, services, and solutions that enhance local governments’ cyber security posture to protect their infrastructure and Floridians’ data. Active grant recipients can re-apply for the same solutions. Any remaining funding will be used for new applicants and existing partners wishing to change providers or add solutions.
KEY DATES AND TIMELINE
ROUND 1: RETURNING YEAR 1 PARTICIPANTS
For existing partners, ROUND 1 offers an opportunity to continue with those solutions.
Early April: Grant Application Opens.
April 30, 2024: Application window closes for existing partners.
Early May: Awards issued for existing partners.
June 21, 2024: Signed grant agreements must be returned to FL[DS].
Early July 2024: Purchase orders for continued services executed.
ROUND 2: NEW APPLICANTS FOR YEAR 2
ROUND 2 opens the door for local governments that are either new to the program or current recipients that wish to change or expand their solutions.
May 31, 2024: ROUND 2 application deadline.
Early October: Notifications of awarded grants for new applicants/services.
Early 2025: Purchase orders for new applicants executed and implementations begin.
